Our autumn season has been warmer than normal. Finally last week we had a couple of nights the temperature dropped into the 20’s.
What a blessing it was to look out my window today and see some beautiful leaves in their autumn colors and the gorgeous blue sky.

This is the area that Mourning Doves stay and have for several years. Last week as I was looking out in the backyard I saw four young ones.
Yesterday I was again looking out in the backyard and saw two young wrens. Wrens have been at my place always. They nest in several places. They have nested in a wreath on the porch, in low shrubs, and the last few years they have nested under the awning above the sliding doors. They look at me when I am at the door as they are perched on the edge before flying to their nest.

This day has brought me much joy seeing such beauty and the little baby birds.
