The last few weeks have been busy ones, but I still found time to notice the blessings.

After several days with cold and rain we finally briefly had a little sunshine. I spotted this little cutie eating an acorn. He would scurry out in the sun to get an acorn then go to the shade and eat it.

A beautiful male Northern Cardinal came to visit and he was watching me at the window.

My daughter made this little cake for me. It is gluten free with lemon glaze. It was only a little over 6 inches in diameter. It made 4 perfect slices and they were yummy.

I worked this jigsaw puzzle a week or so ago. I ordered more and they have been delivered.

I worked this one last night. I love birds and this was a fun puzzle to work. The colors are amazing.
I hope all of you have been doing well.
Thank you for stopping by. Love, hugs and blessings everyone. Stay well and safe.

I love watching the squirrels too. It’s such a simple reminder that God provides even for the smallest of His creatures. Cardinals were my dad’s favorite as well, and whenever I see one, it feels like a little reminder that he’s still near. The cake looks delicious, and I love the puzzles. You did a great job, especially the second one. The colors are so vivid and beautiful.

The cake looks really good 🤩
On a side note, how do you find the patience to sit with puzzles? I have been trying to do one for a long while, but I keep giving up on it. I love doing online picture puzzles, but for some reason I am not able to motivate myself for the real ones.
Any suggestions on your end?

Thank you, the cake was tasty. I have to be in the mood to work puzzles and that usually happens in the cold months of the year. I stand more than I sit to work them. I walk away to do other things from time to time and then go back to the puzzle. There is no deadline to finishing working them so I take my time. That is how I work them not sure that will help. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.

I love and really enjoy watching them. They have buried many acorns in my yard. They also eat pine cones that fall from the pine trees. They stay busy. :)

Thank you for this uplifting post, Mags! I loved the squirrel and cardinal. While both used to be in abundance here, I have not seen them in ages now. The puzzles are both lovely, and that little cake is calling my name!

Thank you John. It is supposed to be a pretty day again tomorrow then we are headed for a few days then they say teens and low twenties at night and mid to high twenties in the day time for two or three days. I am not ready for those temps yet, but nothing I can do about it.
