My daddy loved walking in the woods to see what he could find. It was sad the way some things had been dumped there that someone could have used. He found something he could use or give to someone just about every time he went. Sometimes my hubby and I would go with him if we were visiting him at the time.
Fifty-two years ago this spring we were walking in the woods. I saw a pretty plant that was blooming. I had not seen one like it before. My daddy said it was a wild rose and asked me if I wanted a start of it. He cut off a piece of for me.
When we got back home I planted it by the fence in the backyard. It has bloomed every year. I have kept it cut back to keep it from taking over, but it never seemed to suffer from that. It has been through one tornado, flash floods and drought, but that has never kept it from looking pretty in the spring.

It seems April flew by without me sometimes, it sure came and went in a hurry.
Happy May everyone. Hugs and blessing to all.

People leave all kinds of things in the woods, and April did feel pretty speedy. I still feel like it should be February, except I like the warmer weather haha

I am with you on that. The warmer weather is always better for me no matter the month.

Plants have stories. That’s one of many reasons I love them.
