Thundershowers are common in my area this time of year. I am thankful for those that come. They bring relief for awhile from the heat and humidity.
I think of them as a huge bucket full of rain tipping over and pouring out the rain. They come quickly and leave quickly.
When I hear the thunder it reminds me of my dad. When thunder came he would say “That tater wagon is crossing the bridge again”.
Sometimes too much rain comes, other times not enough. In the summer when the thundershowers come they are one of those little things I am thankful for.

I love summer thunderstorms, they bring me back to
my childhood when we were rushing inside and cosy up with hot tea and biscuits. Unfortunately we do t have them in Ireland despite all the rain😉

I love to feel the power of wind and rain and the smell of the ground after a thunderstorm

Here in Texas its the same story. We don’t get as much rain as other places because of all the concrete here. Storms approach, split, and we are left untouched.

I understand that. Sometimes it rains all around my little city and we don'[t get a drop here. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Have a great day!

I like a good, old fashioned summer storm too, Mags. Unfortunately my dog is terrified of thunder. The rain can be such a cooling blessing– as long as we don’t get too much at a time. Our town tends to flood :)

My dog was terrified of thunder too, I have no pets now. We have had flooding here too the last two years have been bad for flooding. I am sorry about your dog and the flooding in your town. .
