Reading blog posts and seeing ads the last few days it seems most of them have been about food.
When I read something today it reminded me of when my mother would tell me about some things I did as a young child.
I have always loved bread of any kind especially if it is homemade.
In the photo I was three years old. You can see I have a piece of bread in my hand.
My mother told me I would dig the center part out of my biscuit and lay it aside then I would eat the top and bottom with my breakfast.
After breakfast I would put the center part of the biscuit in my mouth and suck on it until the next meal. As an adult I don’t care much for the center part of biscuits. I like them thin with very little center, brown and crispy.
Bread and butter seemed to have been two of my favorite foods as a young child. Some of my family members would let me eat freshly churned butter from the butter dish. My mother told me they liked watching me eat the butter and leave my teeth prints on it.
Funny how such a little thing like me eating fresh churned butter from a butter dish brought joy and laughter to them.
Little things really do matter and I hope you have memories of some or that you experience some today that bring you a smile or brings joy to you.
