Huge boulders are readily seen both near and far. Most rocks with their different shapes, textures and colors are easily seen.
How often do we put forth the effort to seek out the pebbles and see their beauty?

Someone I love very much celebrated his 70th birthday a few days ago. While thinking back over the years since he was born something came to me that I had not thought of before. He was one of the first babies I ever held. I was a teenager when he was born. The last baby I held years later was one of the many babies I cared for as a caregiver of children.
I am so blessed to have had the privilege of caring for and loving many children. It serves us well to follow our calling in life.
I am thankful for the birds that sing near my window and the rooster crowing in the distance that wake me each morning. They let me know it is a new day, time to get up and get moving. It is not easy for me to rise and shine some mornings but those little birds and that rooster encourage me to do so.
