After the fire

Many years ago I did a painting for my sweet sister. She does not have a blog, but she wanted my blog followers to see the painting. She sent three photos.

Sadly she has only one way to show the painting. Her house was struck by lightning and burned.

The painting could not be saved because of damage from water, heat, debris and smoke.

From three different angles you can see parts of the painting.

My sister has recovered well from the fire and we both are so thankful for everyone that helped in her time of need.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all that have lost their home.

Love, hugs and prayers for all.

That art juxtaposed with the fire devastation hits with such force. I am glad your sister is recovering and that these photos speak to endurance and creativity despite destructive tragedy.

It was interesting that it survived. If it just had not been damaged it could have been saved. You all seeing the painting was what she wanted.
