Still making progress

My friend came to visit and play Scrabble yesterday. We took a stroll around the front yard to stretch our legs.

This is the way the hydrangea looked yesterday afternoon.

June 5th 2026

So far it has made it through the unexpected freeze, high wind, heavy rain unseasonable heat and hail.

I am so happy it is strong and determined to live and do well.

It reminds me to be strong and determined to do my best in all things.

Thank you for stopping by. Have wonderful weekend.

Hugs and blessings to all.

They are gorgeous, Mags! I am so happy for you, and I love your comparison about staying strong and being patient. Yesterday as I was looking at the magnolia tree, I spied a new bloom at the very top limb, where part of the tree broke off during the ice. I have never seen one up that high. The more I look, the more of them are blooming. It made me think how nature can repair itself and heal itself. Even though many limbs were lost, now the ones left can get more sunlight. I think that is why they are just popping out all over the tree now. I had to take that as a message, much like your hydrangea!

I am so happy to hear this about your beautiful magnolia tree. We can sure learn a lot by watching nature recover can’t we? Keep enjoying those beautiful blooms. I am thrilled the tree now has so many blooms.
