A huge “thank you” to my blog followers that advised me to “Do nothing” to this hydrangea after it was hit by an unexpected freeze.
I took these photos this afternoon. We had a good rain a couple of days ago and that really perked up the plant.

This is my first ever hydrangea to have purple blooms and I really did not want to lose it.
I am anxious for all the blooms to burst out in beautiful purple.

Do you see that beautiful purple peeking out? Makes me so happy to see the plant with so many blooms on it.
Thank you for stopping by. If you took the time to comment it is much appreciated.
Hugs and blessings to all.

I love the purple so glad your plant survived the freeze. I’m not good with plants myself but looks like you have green fingers 😊

No green fingers I just left the plant alone on good advice from a blogging friend.

I’m always amazed at how well hydrangeas can cope with freezing temperatures (as long as they don’t go on for too long). It looks like yours had come through with flying (purple!) colours!

I love flowers too Maggie, It reminds me there is still beauty to be found in the world despite what the human race has done to our environment.

I read somewhere that the color of the flowers depends on the ph of the soil. Sometimes it is bright blue or purple, other times, it is pink.🌿🍂

I have heard that also. All of them I had before always bloomed blue. This is the first one ever to bloom purple. This one was purple when I purchased it and it has stayed purple. I have planted all that I have had in the same spots. I guess purple and blue both do well in my soil. I know my soil is acidic and they need that.

I did nothing and that is probably why it survived. I sometimes am better at killing plants that saving them.
