My area has needed rain badly. All areas of the state are in some level of draught. Yesterday there was several hours of soft, soaking rain falling from the sky.
I was so thankful to hear the raindrops dropping on the awning above my bedroom window. It began in the wee hours of the morning and rained all day and part of the evening.
I took this photo through a window this morning. Sorry it is a bit fuzzy. The sky was a beautiful blue and the trees beautiful shades of green.
If you look to the bottom of the photo and in front of the trees you will see part of my viburnum shrub. It will be covered in blooms in the near future.
It is amazing what long awaited rain can do for plants, grass and trees in a few hours.
The rain and all the beauty of spring has brought me joy and I am so thankful for it all.

Shades of blues and greens just say so many wonderful things. They are my two favorite colors. I’m happy for you that you got some much needed refreshing rain.

I hope the rain you got was just right, not too much and not too little. We need a whole lot more and I am hoping to see more soon. I am thankful for every drop that we got.

I am glad you got a much needed rain. I am anxious for out first rain of the season to wash away all the winter uck and bring out the grass and leaves. 🌞⛈️

We’ve had way too much rain all winter and into spring, but it’s amazing how quickly we move into drought and scorching heat. Seems like it’s all or nothing these days.
