After several repairs being needed at my place beginning at the end of august and lasting off and on through last weekend…the calm and peace has now arrived.
I am so thankful for everyone that came to help in my time of need. Friendly, nice, caring people came and what a blessing that was. They all went above and beyond what was needed of them.
A couple of days ago I decided to work a jigsaw puzzle. The first one I have worked in over a year.

It was a small one so it didn’t take long to work it. I thought it was a pretty scene and that is why I chose it.
My neighbors gave me a large peace lily plant that I hope I can keep alive and beautiful. I took out the dead leaves and the four acorns that had fallen in it. I didn’t want to find little oak trees growing in it. :)

They had taken the plant inside for the winter. Their new kitten was climbing in it. After finding out the plant is poisonous to cats they asked if I would like to have it.
It has put on two new blooms and I noticed yesterday that another one has started. So far all is going well with it.
We finally got some much needed rain and I am thankful for that. It would not have been good going into winter with the ground so dry.
I know some of you are getting way more rain than you need and I hope it stops for you soon.
Have a blessed and wonderful new week. All who celebrate Thanksgiving I wish for you a wonderful day however you choose to spend it.
Thanks for stopping by. All visits, likes and comments are appreciated.
Love, hugs and blessings to all.

Nice slice-of-life post! π
I saw an ad for an app that analyzes your plantβs health and suggests things to help it thrive. I had a plant like yours but it was chronically wilted and brownish. The app took a pictureβ¦ poofβ¦ suggested remedy: Coca Cola. The after picture was remarkable. Other things were juice, coffee, even weirder stuff. No idea if itβs legit, but now I know if I ever get another plant like that, Iβll be sure to give it lots of cokeβ¦ or maybe Diet Coke? ππ

So far the plant still is doing well. Those are some strange things to suggest to help. If it begins to look sick I may need to do some deep research on those suggestions or others. With all I see online now days I have an issue with believing what is fact and what is not. Now with all the AI going on I don’t even trust pictures on some sites. I enjoyed your comment, thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed day.

I wish you lots of joy and luck keeping the peace lily alive. It looks like a healthy strong plant. My luck has never been good with these plants. Oh well..
My youngest daughter and I spent many hours together putting together jigsaw puzzles. (We still do when I visit her.) She was a teenager at the time, so this gave us an avenue to spend time talking – always needed when they are teenagers.
Thank you so much for this post. You have a way of bringing wonderful memories to mind.

Wonderful and Happy for you Dear Mags… The jigsaw puzzle is so pretty, great choice. Iβm glad you were able to get the work done around the house. I have so much to do here, but with everything going on, I canβt seem to get started. And now with Thanksgiving just a few days away, it will all have to wait. Hopefully this coming weekend we can get the tree up, even though weβre already a week or two behind.
Your plant is beautiful. Iβve never been able to keep mine that green or help them grow, they either fade slowly or stay the same.
Happy Thanksgiving, my Dear Friend and Sister. I wish you continued Blessings, and I am truly grateful for you.

Dearest Willie, I am sorry things are falling behind for you. Hoping you can get caught up soon and you have gotten your tree up or will coon. I hope for the best Thanksgiving ever for you and the family.
Most of what I needed done was emergencies and the Lord truly helped with getting all of it done.
I have only had one peace lily before this one; it did not do well, but I am hoping with a lot of talking to it and prayers this one will live and stay beautiful.
Prayers for you and your family Dearest friend and brother. Hugs and blessings to you and your precious family. You are a blessing to many.

Dearest Mags, thank you so much for your wonderful and heartfelt words. π I truly appreciate your prayers and kindness. I’m hoping that we get some decorating and the tree started this week, worse case, during the weekend. We are expecting some colder weather and possible snow, so we will see how that goes.
Iβm grateful the Lord helped you through those emergencies, He is always faithful. And Iβm sure your peace lily will thrive with your care and prayers. πΏ
Praying for you and your family as well. Hugs, Blessings, and much love to you, my Dear Sister.
You have been a true blessing and again, Thank you so much for your warm and tender heart.
May the Lord continue to Bless you, today and always…
You Are Loved…

I’ve been finding out about more and more plants being poisonous, and all these years I hadn’t known that. When you have pets, it’s good to be informed.

I agree it is good to be informed. There are plants and foods that can make them very sick or kill them.

Like Anne said, I’m glad that things are going so well for you, Mags!! I’m glad the cat is safe from a poisonous plant. They don’t know any better do they. That’s a lovely puzzle, and you have the patience of a saint. I just don’t have that kind of patience! πβ€οΈ

You are right John, that kittens don’t know any better and we need to keep them safe. With all you have going on John patience is not easy to have. I am still praying your roof is repaired soon and I hope the rain has stopped. Hugs and blessings my friend.

I am so glad to see that things are going so well for you, Mags. I love your new plant and the Jigsaw puzzle you just finished. I would love to have the space for both – but Molly takes up more than her share. And she eats jigsaw puzzles like they are her version of potato chips. π

Well, Molly is more fun I would think than plants and puzzles. While working the puzzle I kept thinking how much easier to work puzzles now that all my cats have gone. It was difficult having cats while working puzzles. They loved swatting pieces around and I would find them all over the place. Now I don’t have to cover the puzzles in hopes of keeping cats off while I am working them.

I can see where cats would be an issue. Molly is fun for sure but she doesn’t typically provide the peace and calm you get from jigsaw puzzles and plants. π

You gave me a laugh, Anne. But oh, what fun sweet Molly brings to you. Cats love getting in to things they shouldn’t. At my age plants and puzzles are good. :)
