Our autumn season has been warmer than normal. Finally last week we had a couple of nights the temperature dropped into the 20’s.
What a blessing it was to look out my window today and see some beautiful leaves in their autumn colors and the gorgeous blue sky.

This is the area that Mourning Doves stay and have for several years. Last week as I was looking out in the backyard I saw four young ones.
Yesterday I was again looking out in the backyard and saw two young wrens. Wrens have been at my place always. They nest in several places. They have nested in a wreath on the porch, in low shrubs, and the last few years they have nested under the awning above the sliding doors. They look at me when I am at the door as they are perched on the edge before flying to their nest.

This day has brought me much joy seeing such beauty and the little baby birds.

Thank you so much for sharing these simple yet profound beauties — the autumn leaves, the blue sky, and the gentle birth of new little lives in your backyard. In such a tender, meaningful way, you invite us to feel how colors, seasons, and life can come together as a song of hope — truly touching and comforting. May your spirit continue to reach everyone who reads this.
I feel that beyond the visual beauty and gratitude, there’s another important reflection — how change, letting go of the past, can open the door for a fresh start: a moment when life and hope can bloom again. We might imagine how the seasons of our lives are like autumn leaves: though there is loss, there is always beauty and a chance for new growth. Thank you for sparking this feeling of optimism.
In the end, your writing is not just about photos or autumn scenery — it is a prayer, a warm embrace, a gentle reminder that beauty lives in the cycles of life. May every reader feel the blessings you share, and may your good intentions bring more peace and gratitude into many hearts.

I hope those young birds are not TOO young. At this time of year it’s not a good thing, with the cold weather setting in. They need to be well feathered and fattened up for the winter, or for migrating if they are not year-round residents. I wish them well.

The birds are well feathered know how to fend for themselves and will make it just fine. There are little ones born this time of year every year at my place. Thank you for coming by and commenting. Hugs and blessings.

Such a bucolic scene! The mourning doves here always sat in the bird feeder dish while eating. I have not seen one since we had to cut down the big pine tree they liked to nest in.

They would sit in the feeder to eat here too when I had a feeder they could get in. I am sorry you no longer see them.
