What happens next

When I started this blog my plan was to put out short posts about little things. That didn’t seem to work out.

I have been blogging since the late 90’s on several different platforms of which most are no longer in existence. This is my sixth blog on WordPress.

I did not blog for a few years because I had nothing to blog about. I missed blogging so I finally decided to start this one. But now I have no idea what to do with it.

When we fostered children and animals I posted about them.

When we had a bird haven in our backyard I took photos and shared bird photos.

Sharing a meal together

When we were home schooling I shared stories about that.

I had a blog for my little dog Chancy and shared photos and antics that brought me joy. He had his own garden and loved helping us with yard work.

Chancy with his favorite ball. He had many toys but this $1.00 ball and two other toys that were gifted to him were his favorites.

Anne, this one is for you and Molly. :) https://seclusion101withannemarie.com/

When my husband developed Dementia I started a blog about our journey. It gave me a place to share and to find other caregivers that I could learn from. It was a life saver for me.

Now with both my little Chancy and my husband no longer in this life I find myself rather boring. :) I am very blessed for sure. The Lord and I have many conversations day and night. And He sees that my needs are met.

But I just don’t know what will happen next with my blog. I really would like to have a theme, but it may turn out to be a little of this and little of that.

I appreciate all of my followers. Thank you so much for following and for the “Likes” and comments.

I will continue to enjoy your photos, your shared thoughts and stories and art work on the blogs that I follow.

Hang in there with me and we will see what happens next.

Hugs and blessings to all.

Thanks for sharing precious memories, Mags! And for continuing to give God glory! Sometimes my husband will see me reading others’ blogs, with a big smile on my face. He will ask me what I am smiling about, and I share. Your blog posts are precious and bring a smile, and sometimes a joyful memory tear. Please keep sharing. God will show you :)

This post has made my day, Susan. Thank you for the encouragement to keep blogging. How sweet of you to share with your husband. Anything I post will go after prayer and guidance to bring a smile, a laugh, a blessing or anything that brings honor and glory to God. Hugs and blessings to you and your family.

Thank you, Mags! I love that photo of Chancy. Molly destroyed my small watering jug this spring but has left my flower pots alone (so far).

Molly is a good girl leaving your flower pots alone. Chancy stuck to destroying the pots that new plants came in. I was glad he did not chew up others. You are welcome Anne.

I’m sure you still have interests, activities, and/or hobbies, Mags. What are these things? I’d like to know what keeps you busy these days.

I do have some of those things right now, but nothing much going on interesting right now. I will come up with something because I do love reading blogs and writing when I know what to write about. Thank you for your input that will be of help.

Can you write what you like when you like? Is that too unstructured for you? I have enjoyed your comments very much.

I feel a kinship with you, since you mentioned that your husband died. My husband John died 3 years ago. It was his body that wore out, not his brain. I was shocked when I realized I had never lived alone. It was an adjustment, but one that I have grown to like. I hope you will find purpose and pleasure in your writing.

Yes, I probably can do that. I am glad you enjoy my comments. You have given me an idea. When I think about it some and take notes that may very well be my next post. Sorry about the passing of your husband. I too like living alone now.

That’s the very best kind of blog (IMO) I have a site on another platform that I titled “Anything Goes”!
I think our slump is because of the state of the world at the moment, and our wacky weather that has us uneasy. It’s hard to be creative when your mind is all in a tizzy!!

I think you may just be right Vero. This summer has been a bummer. We had storms yesterday afternoon that downed trees and knocked the electricity off. We had no power for 22 hours. No damage at my place just a lot of leaves, pine needles and some other debris in the yard. I am hoping cooler weather will perk me up and give me some motivation. Summer has sapped my energy. Thank you so much for your comment, I am pretty sure whatever I write from now on will have no theme. “Anything Goes” sounds interesting.

Praying you will find out what comes next. I have been blogging a bit myself. Isn’t it wonderful how GOD helps us put words on a page? I relate to you being in my final season of life. Both my husband and I have been diagnosed with cancer. But right now GOD is blessing us with some fruitful and healthy days! So remain hopeful………if GOD wants you to write……….HE will help your hand. HIS words, never return void! Blessings to you as you bless others!

Thank you, so much for your beautiful comment. I am so sorry to hear of you and your husband being diagnosed with cancer. Now that I know you both will be in my prayers. God is much bigger than cancer. You are right that if He wants me to write He will help me. You have given me encouragement. Hugs and blessings to you!

I love your blog, Mags. “This and That” kind of blogs are my favorite. Mine is quite a “this and that” blog, too. Personally I love hearing your memories of your experiences throughout life. I also like the day to day stuff – the garden hose adventures, the birds that visit your yard, your thoughts on God. I enjoy it all :)

Oh, Jean you are so sweet. I am happy to know that you enjoy my blog. Going forward I know there will be no theme to my blog. It will most likely be thoughts that come to me when I am not thinking about the blog that I will write about. I am certainly not a pro at writing, but I do love reading blogs and having one. So hang on, there is no telling what you might read from here on out. LOL

I will keep my blog, John. I am just trying to figure out what I want to blog about. I for sure will not have a theme to the blog going forward. Some thoughts are coming to me and eventually I will know what subjects I am going to write about. I think cooler weather will help a lot.

Hey Mags, and I understand it may feel kind of weird not having a theme, or a firm reason to blog, but I enjoy reading what you have to say. I’m sure you have a full treasure chest to pull from. I’m a relatively new follower, so I didn’t know half of these things about you. I believe God still wants to use you to write and what seems boring to you, may be exactly what someone else needs to hear. Let Him use you, lovely, and enjoy your journey with Him. 🧡

Barb, thank you so much for your beautiful comment of encouragement. I am praying about it and thoughts are coming to me. I for sure will not have a theme though. God doesn’t need a theme and I always want to give Him credit for all the blessings in my life.
