Recently I purchased and read this book. It is written by a blogging friend, Willie Torres Jr. I have never written a book review before so this will be in simple terms.
When I saw what the book was about I was curious and felt I needed to read it. The book is about Christians that are sports fans.
My favorite sport is football, but not just any football. I follow three college teams. I don’t watch professional teams unless one or more of my favorite college players go pro.
I have been a Christian for many years and I am certainly not a young person. I could relate to a lot of what Willie wrote. And after reading the book I knew why I felt I should read it. It was mainly for someone else, but I would have not known that had I not read it.
I highly recommend the book for Christian sports fans no matter your age. You might just find it enlightening I did.

That’s exactly why I wrote it: not only for Christian sports fans to reflect and connect, but also to gently lead hearts and minds to recognize how easily we can place worldly things and even idols before God, sometimes without realizing it.
While sports was the setting, the deeper message is about spiritual alignment and returning our hearts to God. All glory and praise belong to Him alone, and I pray the book continues to plant seeds of truth and reflection in whoever reads it.

No problem Willie as to when or if you replied. The book will be passed on and my prayer is that it will continue to be passed on and touch everyone that is meant to read it. We don’t know how many people come to know the Lord by anything that we do, write or say now, but I believe in Heaven we will see them all. You are in my prayers. Blessings to you and your family.

Thank you, sweet Sis. I was not always a sports person but with my hubby loving football got me started. I follow three college games along with some family members. We enjoy discussing the games. As for reviewing books I am certainly lacking in that area..
