“Music does a lot of things for a lot of people. It’s transporting, for sure. It can take you right back, years back, to the very moment certain things happened in your life. It’s uplifting, it’s encouraging, it’s strengthening.” — Aretha Franklin

Music has been for me the best healing tool I could ever hope for.
Some songs that I have listened to many times over the years has helped me to forgive where it was very difficult to do so.
Others have helped me to learn to live with the choices I made that I wish I had not made…and forgive myself.
One song in particular brought me to my knees and reminded me Jesus was with me and would never leave me. That song changed my life in a big way.
Music has brought healing, tears, smiles, dancing and whatever else I needed at the time. I am thankful for the amazing people that share their God given talent with us.

Music makes us happy. In my childhood I learnt to sing but with time I stopped singing now I am a bathroom singer. But I listen to music very often

I miss making music so much. After a few bad performances I realized I am really more of a writer than a musician, so I put it down. I am under Mars Mankiller on Spotify if anyone wants to have a listen!

I am sorry you gave it up. Keep on writing and using your talent. Maybe one day you will feel you can get back to making music again and do well.

Maybe! It became too much pressure after a while so I think I need a loooong break. I really enjoy writing blogs but also poetry too still, so in a way I’m still flexing those muscles.

We find that having a selection of sacred music for an hour before going to bed puts us in a relaxed mood for sleep and there is so much of it on the internet with background scenes of nature

That is wonderful Ian. You are right about the music and scenes of nature on the internet. I love the music with background nature scenes.

Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.”

Amen 🙌 Music is one of God’s sweetest gifts… His Spirit often moves through melody when words fall short. It’s healing, humbling, and Holy.

I have no musical talent, but I am with you Mags. I don’t know if you know the song “Honeycomb” but I woke up with that song in my head for about two weeks lately. I hadn’t heard it for years, I didn’t come across it on You Tube, but there it was EVERY morning for a couple of weeks. At least it’s a perky tune to wake up to. 🤗

Yes, I know that song well. Some days those perky tunes come in handy. :)

Barry Manilow’s “I made it through the rain” defined me for a long time.
