A few minutes ago, I was watching a little squirrel scurrying around the yard. He/she looked up and saw me watching. I began talking to it and that little tail was wagging back and forth so fast it made me giggle.
It doesn’t take much to bring me joy. All I have to do is look out the window or go outside. There are always birds in the trees, squirrels, on the ground or in the trees, lizards, butterflies, moths, bugs, dragonflies and other living things carrying on with their business.

The squirrels never let me down when I am in the mood to see some action going on in the yard. They are always on the ready to entertain me.
I am thankful I live in a place where I can share my yard with some of God’s wonderful creatures.

Oh, I would love to see a white one. I have only seen gray, red and black here. In my yard I only see the gray, at my dad’s place I only saw red ones. I have only seen one black one in a tree outside my dentist’s office. You are welcome and thank you for your visit and comment.

Yes, looking at the small animals and birds and flowers and anything in nature is a joy. And we are blessed if we can do that.

I used to live in an apartment with an abundance of birds outside of it, and while I didn’t appreciate having to wash my car so much, I do miss their songs after we moved to a place with less trees. I am spending much less money on car washes now though, so I guess there is a positive!

They do tend to make a mess. When I had a carport they would fly under it and leave a mess on my car. Since I no longer have a car or carport I don’t have that issue. It is nice to have birds with no messy car.

Our first house in retirement bordered on an unsettled land so we had kangaroos and other critters right at our back fence. But the developers soon spoiled that and soon we were in the middle of a vast new suburb so we moved to a retirement resort where there are multiple lakes and an abundant wildlife around us and not a concrete jungle.

Oh, Ian I am so glad you were able to move where you can see natures beauty and Abundant wildlife. When we moved here it was trees, mountains, and wildlife, very few lived around us. Now it is a small city, but we still have managed to keep some wildlife around. I heard my first owl in my yard a few nights ago, wish I could have seen it. I have never seen an owl in real life. I have only heard them.
