Sometimes there are little things I notice that bring precious memories back to me. When I see a leaf fall it takes my mind back to the times the children spent gathering leaves for a school project. It was fun to look for the different leaves and they learned the type of tree each leaf fell from.
Have you ever gone outside when there is nothing moving but falling snow? There is such a peaceful sound that I have never heard anywhere like the sound I hear of falling snow. People have told me that falling snow cannot be heard, but I believe it can and I have heard it.
I will never forget a time when I was standing near a shrub looking at a hummingbird. After a little while the hummingbird flew out of the shrub and sat on my shoulder for a few seconds. One of those little things that surprised me and that I have never forgotten nor do I want to forget.
Today a little thing happened that I appreciated. My hand hit a full glass of water that was sitting on a table. Usually when that happens I end up cleaning up water but, today the glass of water somehow wiggled around a second or two and never turned over. I drop and spill a lot some days but, today I did not have any spills to clean up.
Oh, and again today I got both legs in the right pant legs the first try. :) I am improving.
